Canyon Catering is looking for high energy, positive thinking, multi taskers, with a passion for creativity and service, to join our winning team.  Exceptional organizational, written and verbal skills, a keen attention to detail, and flexibility to handle to unexpected, are essential for success in this position.

The Sales Assistant is an entry level position. A Sales Assistant will assist the Senior Event Manager to organize and execute special events such as corporate receptions, weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, or any special affair our clients desire.

Our Event Coordinators’ goal is to have every Canyon Catering Client saying;

 "You Only Live Once, Let's Party!"

 

Some of the various responsibilities and skill set include:

  • Accompany the Senior Event Coordinator at meetings with clients to determine the type of party they would like to host, and the budget they have to work with.
  • Scheduling in-house meetings and tastings.
  • Communicating with clients and members of various department teams
  • Placing orders for rentals or special items needed to execute the client’s event.
  • Create and send event marketing communication via email
  • Order and manage the delivery of event supplies
  • Assist the Senior Event Coordinators with the responsibilities for planning an epic party, from entering the menu proposals to booking vendors
  • Familiarity with Caterease Event Planning and Microsoft Office applications
  • Intermediate math skills
  • A great smile, positive energy, and a “can do” attitude
  • Intuitive relative to the needs of clients, as well as double-checking orders
  • Full service restaurant, and familiarity with food pairings / accompaniments a plus
